Vet
Graduating from Lincoln University with a Bachelor of Science, I then followed my combined passion of science and animals to study Veterinary Science at Massey University and graduated in 2003 - so I have a couple of decades of veterinary experience under my belt!
Starting off in mixed practice, I spent some time in equine practice before shifting full time to a small animal position over a decade ago.
This varied background has given me a broad skill base and a logical approach to cases & decision making.
I especially enjoy complex medicine cases, soft tissues surgery and love individualising care.
One of the interests close to my heart is looking after the greybeards and grey-whiskers of our lives - the geriactric cats, dogs & rabbits. Managing them in all aspects of veterinary care to ensure their quality of life is optimal and they can enjoy the latter years despite the changes and challenges they face is very rewarding.
My own eclectic animal family includes Quilt a tortoiseshell, Badger a heading dog, a smattering of chickens, an old belted Galloway cow from Pitt Island, several sheep and a "few" purebred welsh cobs.
